Exhibit Hall Stages

ALA offers exhibitors several opportunities to participate in on-site events during the Annual Conference furthering promotional opportunities for your authors and organization. Your participation in these programs is promoted on the Annual Conference website, in Cognotes - the official show daily, in the final program book, in social media, and in on-site signage. Detailed descriptions can also be listed in the Online Scheduler.

Stages and submissions include the What's Cooking @ ALA Stage, PopTop Stage, Chapter One Stage, Graphic Novel/Gaming Stage, Book Buzz Theater, and Now Showing @ ALA Film Program.

The stage submissions are at no cost; however, submission does not guarantee a time slot. Submissions are reviewed and all submissions will be notified once the final schedules have been confirmed. Accepted What's Cooking @ ALA Stage, PopTop Stage, Chapter One Stage, and Graphic Novel/Gaming Stage submissions will incur a fee of $200, and accepted Book Buzz Submissions will incur a fee of $600.

WHAT'S COOKING @ ALA COOKING DEMONSTRATION STAGE

What's Cooking Stage

Located on the Exhibit Floor, the What’s Cooking Demo Stage offers chefs, restaurant owners and food personalities an opportunity to prepare the hottest recipes, share their cooking secrets and autograph their latest books. Time slots are 50 minutes including Q&A and generally consist of a 30-minute cooking demonstration and education followed by a 20-minute signing/sampling.

THE POPTOP STAGE - POPULAR TOPICS, EVERY DAY

PopTop STage

The PopTop Stage, located on the Exhibit Floor, will focus on popular librarian favorites including: Mystery, Romance, Audio, Science Fiction and other topics of interest. The PopTop Stage will feature readings, discussions, and presentations over the course of the exhibits. Time slots are 50 minutes and generally consist of a 30-minute reading, discussion, Q&A or presentation and a 20-minute signing.

CHAPTER ONE STAGE

Chapter One Stage

The Chapter One Stage will feature panels of new and emerging authors with each presentation focusing on a single genre. Hot topics will also be featured as a jumping off point for new issues impacting libraries and publishing. Time slots are 50 minutes and generally consist of a 30-minute reading, discussion, Q&A or presentation and a 20-minute signing.

GRAPHIC NOVEL/GAMING STAGE

Graphic Novel Gaming Stage
Attendees gather to hear from authors, illustrators and creators of the hottest games and graphic novels. Learn more about the art of graphic novels and illustration, how games and gaming inspire creativity and social interaction, and how comics in the library and in the classroom can help inspire and reach reluctant readers.

BOOK BUZZ THEATER

BookBuzz Theater

Highlights the latest "Buzz" about the newest titles from the hottest publishers all in one easy-to-find location on the Exhibit Hall Floor. Time slots are $600 and are filled on a first come first served basis.

Now Showing @ ALA Film Program

Offers a variety of films and documentaries throughout the day from Saturday through Monday.
